BOOKS OPEN IN SEPTEMBER

I can’t believe it’s been over a year since I’ve posted an update. Time flies when you’re busy. With last years expansion of my studio, taking on additional artists, as well as an overwhelming amount of tattoo requests coming in I’ve really only had the time to take care of what needs to be taken care of in the immediate. As much as I love to write and should be updating my site more often it’s certainly not a priority. Yet here I am finally jotting something down, maybe not too interesting at this time but certainly necessary information.

As 2021 came into motion so did the massive influx of tattoo requests. Uncertain of how to handle the situation I over booked myself far too many months in advance. This resulted in multi session projects being pushed out further than desired and many of my days off were spent at the studio trying to cater to my clients scheduling needs. Under the stress I unofficially closed my books early in the year to new projects and have been working diligently on wrapping up and finishing current projects and formulating a new booking strategy.

My books will officially re-open on September 1st, 2021 for October through December appointments. From that point on I will only be booking 3 months in advance and once the available dates are filled I will be closing my books again. In restructuring my scheduling I’ve realized I need to have stricter standards and boundaries in place so that I may have a better balance of life and work. This insures I am able to create at my best potential, avoid burn out, and have adequate time for friends, family and life in general. As much as I love tattooing, I simply cannot sustain the way I’ve been doing it.

As for my new process there are some big changes taking place. I will no longer be responding to tattoo requests unless my books are open. At that time I will be reviewing requests on a first come, first serve basis and will only be accepting projects that align with my body of work and appeal to me artistically. All requests must be submitted through my APPOINTMENT REQUEST & CONSULTATION FORM to be considered. I will no longer be accepting inquiries through Instagram or Facebook and as such will direct you to my site if you choose to contact me through such media.

Once my books are open and only if your request is accepted I will respond at that time to set up a free consultation to further discuss your idea, take photos of the tattoo location on your body and proceed to set up your tattoo appointment. Consultations will only be scheduled on Tuesdays from 11am-5pm, or Friday through Monday at 11am. Once we’ve consulted, in order to secure your tattoo appointment I will require a non-refundable deposit which will go towards the cost of your tattoo on your final appointment. The security deposit will range from $200 - $1,000 depending on the depth of your project which will be discussed during your consultation.

My hourly rate as of September will be $200 per hour. Current projects at my current rate will not be affected by this increase. I will only be tattooing Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays with appointments beginning at 12 noon and going no later than 6pm with few exceptions. You will need to make your schedule work with mine if you want an appointment, I am unable to cater to your scheduling needs.

Reschedules will require a minimum 48 hour notice to retain and transfer your deposit to your new date. Repeat and chronic rescheduling may incur fees, a loss of deposit, or termination as a client. If you are 20 or more minutes late to your appointment without advance notice you may be required to reschedule. No call, no shows will result in a forfeiture of your entire deposit and termination as a client. I do not send out appointment confirmations or reminders, please take responsibility for your own appointment and show up on time.

I will not copy or duplicate another artists design or style. I will happily take your concept and create a unique design specifically fit for you and your body and I will illustrate it in my own style. I do not finalize tattoo designs until the morning of your appointment and you will not see your design until you arrive to the studio. Any changes or revisions that you feel necessary which stay within the parameters of the original concept will be made at your appointment. Excessive alterations may result in a rescheduled appointment or a complete cancellation of the project and a forfeiture of your deposit.

After your tattoo has completely healed a free courtesy touch up may be given at my discretion within the first 6 months after receiving your tattoo. Touch ups are reserved for subtle imperfections due to technical application or the healing process. Touch ups needed due to client neglect or failure to follow aftercare guidelines will be charged accordingly. Head, face, feet, hands and finger tattoos are not guaranteed and may not be eligible for a free touch up.

And with all that said, I know, it may seem a little strict, but all of these upgrades and boundaries exist so that I may utilize my time to the fullest, offer my best work to my clients and create a clientele base of the highest quality and standard. I can’t thank you all enough for your interest in my work and support over the years. I truly appreciate you considering me for your next tattoo project and I certainly look forward to hearing from you!
